Creating a Business Profile



What is a Business Profile?

Once you have created an account for the  Tourism Business Database , you can create a Business Profile. The Business Profile is the umbrella under which your individual Product Listings and Travel Deals sit. It has information about your business including, business name, business logo, social media links and contact information.



How to create a Business Profile

Summary

To create a business profile in the Tourism Business Database:
    .1Click 'Add a new business"
    .2Select the correct  Business Type 
    .3Enter business details, including logo and contact information
    .4Link your Social Media accounts and/or  Trip Advisor  rating (optional)
    .5Review your Business Profile and submit it for approval
    .6Moderation can take up to 7 days



Detailed Instructions


Step 1: Click the ‘New business’ button
Step 2: Enter the name of your business

Step 3: Select the correct business type
There are three business types accepted into the Tourism Business Database:
 
New Zealand Based Operator:
Accommodation, activity, transport or multi-day tour and package products or services based in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Travel Seller:
Travel Agency or an Airline offering travel to Aotearoa New Zealand. 
 
Visitor Information Service:
On-the-ground visitor information services open to the public.

Step 4: Upload your business logo
  • One file only
  • 128 MB limit
  • Allowed types: png, jpg, jpeg
  • Images must be larger than 600 pixels wide

Step 5: Enter your NZBN number (optional)

Step 6: Find your business address using the search bar
  • If you have selected New Zealand Based Operator as your business type, you will need to enter a New Zealand address
  • Check your map location. It is important that you make sure your location is accurate on the map. Use the map to make minor adjustments if required. Do this by clicking and dragging on the red marker
 Check your location details are correct. If you can't find your city in the Region &City/Town dropdown, select the nearest available.
Step 7: Enter your business contact details
If you're adding an Online booking URL, please make sure it links directly to the booking engine or booking section of your website.
  • Phone numbers must be entered in international format i.e., include the +64
  • Web addresses should include the full URL, including the Https:// at the beginning

Step 8: Enter links to your social media accounts (optional)

Step 9: Link your TripAdvisor ratings to your Business Profile (optional)
Visitors to  newzealand.com  can sort Product Listings by  TripAdvisor rating .  Your ranking and review number will change as TripAdvisor updates.
 
Step 10: Review your content, and when you’re ready click ‘Submit for Approval’ or choose 'Safe Draft' to complete at a later date.

 
Your business profile will be sent for moderation.
This typically takes 5-7 days, and you will contacted if we require clarification.



Next Step

Once your Business Profile has been approved, you can create individual Product Listings.
