Creating an Explore Offer
Only available to Qualmark members.
What is an Explore Offer?
The Explore New Zealand Discount Programme connects qualified international travel sellers with Qualmark operators, supporting independent self-famil visits across Aotearoa New Zealand. An Explore offer is a trade-only discount that helps approved sellers experience your product firsthand, build confidence and recommend it to their clients.
Who can access Explore offers?
- Only travel sellers approved by Tourism New Zealand can view Explore offers.
- Eligible participants include full-time international travel sellers, such as frontline agents, product managers and key decision makers.
- Travel sellers must complete the required 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist training before accessing the programme.
How bookings work
- Approved sellers book directly with operators using the nominated booking email or discount code.
- Bookings must be requested at least 30 days before travel.
- Tourism New Zealand provides a booking template so operators receive the key details needed to assess each request.
What makes a strong offer
- Offers should provide meaningful value for the travel seller and, where possible, their travel partner.
- Common offer types include complimentary access, two-for-one or 50% off.
- Premium products may offer a lower discount, such as 10-30% off, where appropriate. (Offers can be amended at any time).
How to create a new Explore Offer
Step 1: Sign into your Tourism Business Database Account
Step 2: Click on Trade Offers in the top bar
Step 2: Click the 'New offer' button

Step 3: Select the listing you want to create an Explore Offer for
Step 4: Read and agree to the Explore Terms of Trade Agreement
Step 5: Specify your Business name and explain the product in Business Summary field
Step 6: Specify who will handle Explore applications and their contacts. It is recommended that they are the person who will meet and greet the travel seller on the day they visit, to get the most value out of this.
Step 7: Specify the Explore discount offer for the Travel seller and their Partner and the Retail Price, in NZ$ separately. If not one of the standard options, choose Other and write this in the text field
Step 8: Repeat this process for the Explore offer Conditions and set the offer Start Date.
Step 9: Review your content, and when ready click Submit for approval.
