Accounts and business access

Question
Answer
What should I do if my business already exists?
Don't create another Business Profile. Create a user account, then follow  Get access to an existing business  to request access to the existing profile.
I manage more than one business. How do I switch between them?
Use the Business Toggle to move between businesses linked to your account. See  Switch between businesses.
Why can’t I see a business I manage?
Check that you are signed in with the correct email address and that access has been approved. If you manage several businesses, check the Business Toggle. See  Get access to an existing business .
Can more than one person manage a business?
If supported, each person should use their own user account and be given access to the existing Business Profile. Don't share sign-in details. Confirm the exact access process before publishing this answer.

Business Profiles

Question
Answer
What is the difference between a Business Profile and a Product Listing?
A Business Profile holds your core business information, such as your name, logo, contact details and website. A Product Listing describes a specific product, service or experience visitors can book. A Business Profile does not appear publicly by itself.
Can I create more than one Business Profile?
Only create another Business Profile for a genuinely separate business. Create individual Product Listings for the different products or experiences offered by the same business.
Why can’t I create a Product Listing?
Your Business Profile must be approved before you can create Product Listings. Check its current status and complete any requested changes. See  Creating a Business Profile .
What location should I use if I do not have a visitor-facing address?
Enter the location that is most useful and accurate for visitors, such as the main meeting point, pickup location or area where the experience begins. Do not use a private residential address unless visitors are expected to go there.
What should I do if my town or city is not listed?
Select the nearest accurate option and check the map marker. If no suitable location is available,  contact  the Tourism Business Database team with your full address and the location you expected to find.

Product Listings

Question
Answer
Which Product Listing type should I choose?
Choose the type that best describes the main product a visitor is booking. See  Product Listing types  for definitions, examples and guidance.
Can I create more than one Product Listing?
Yes. Create a separate Product Listing for each distinct product, service or experience. Don't combine unrelated products or create duplicates of the same offer.
Can I save my Product Listing and finish it later?
Yes. Save it as a draft and return later. Draft content is not reviewed or visible to visitors until it is submitted and approved.
Where should I add the duration of my product?
There is no separate Duration field. Add the duration near the beginning of the description so visitors can find it easily.
Should I link to my homepage or a product page?
Link directly to the webpage or booking page for the product described in the listing. Avoid sending visitors to a homepage where they must search for the product.
How do I improve the quality of my Product Listing?
Use clear descriptions, accurate categories and tags, current images, practical visitor information and direct booking links. See  Improve your Product Listing .

Approval and publication

Question
Answer
How do I know whether my content is published?
Check the status shown in the Tourism Business Database. Draft, under review and changes-required content is not publicly visible. See  Check whether your content is approved or published.
What should I do if changes are required?
Open the content, review the moderator feedback, make the requested updates and submit it again. Check the complete profile or listing before resubmitting.
Why isn’t my approved Product Listing showing on  newzealand.com ?
Check that its current status is Published. Where it appears may also depend on its listing type, location, categories and tags. Allow time for approved changes to appear. See  How your content appears on newzealand.com.
What is the difference between Listing Preview and View Published?
Listing Preview shows how the content you are working on may appear. View Published shows the version that is currently live. If you have unpublished changes, the two versions may be different.
How do I find my Product Listing on  newzealand.com ?
Search  newzealand.com  using the Product Listing name. You can also check destination and category pages that match the listing’s location, type and tags. If it is published but cannot be found, follow  Check whether your content is approved or published.

TripAdvisor and Qualmark

Question
Answer
How do I add my TripAdvisor rating and reviews?
Add the TripAdvisor ID to your Business Profile and choose to display the information. See  Add your TripAdvisor rating and reviews.
Why isn’t my TripAdvisor information showing?
Check that the correct ID has been entered, TripAdvisor display is enabled and enough time has passed for the weekly update. See  Add your TripAdvisor rating and reviews  for full troubleshooting.
How do I add my Qualmark award?
Add your Qualmark Account ID to each relevant Product Listing, refresh the available awards, select the correct award and submit the listing for approval. See  Add a Qualmark award to your Product Listing.
Why isn’t my Qualmark Account ID recognised?
Check that the ID is correct, current and fully confirmed. For problems with the ID or award status, contact Qualmark. For problems saving or submitting it in the TBD,  contact  the Tourism Business Database team.

Deals and translated content

Question
Answer
Why can’t I create a Travel Deal?
The relevant Product Listing must be approved before the Deals function becomes available. See  Creating a Travel Deal.
Can I create translated Product Listings?
Yes. The TBD supports Simplified Chinese, German, Japanese and Korean translations of approved English Product Listings. See  Create a translated Product Listing.
Will translated content update when I change the English listing?
No. Review and update each translated version when important information in the English Product Listing changes.
Who can create an Explore Offer?
Explore Offers are available to eligible Qualmark members with the required approved content in the Tourism Business Database. See  Creating an Explore Offer  and the  Explore Programme Terms and Conditions.
